FRESNO, Calif. — A Facebook video of an attack and robbery led to the arrest of three suspects.
Your Central Valley reports that a 24-year-old man, Steven Vang, 18-year-old woman, Leanna Risueno, and a 14-year-old were all arrested after authorities viewed cell phone footage of the suspects approaching a pair of teenage girls with a plan to rob them.
Surveillance video also captured the attack and the suspects driving away. A witness called 911 to report the attack after seeing it from his window.
The victims only suffered minor scrapes; the suspects made off with one of the victim’s purse, which contained only clothes and an empty wallet.
It’s believed the suspects posted the video to Facebook themselves as a way to brag about their crime.
Vang and Risueno are in the Fresno County Jail on robbery charges, and the 14-year-old was booked into the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Center.
