WACO, Texas — A Central Texas man has been sentenced to life in prison for a 2008 attack that left his ex-girlfriend’s mother dead.
A judge in Waco accepted the revised plea deal for Jeremy Lee Lowrey of Itasca.
Authorities say Lowrey’s ex-girlfriend in October 2008 awoke to find him in her bedroom and she screamed. The ex-girlfriend was staying with her mother, Rebecca Leonard.
Leonard and her boyfriend, Jerry Patterson, rushed to help and were stabbed. Patterson survived and identified Lowrey.
