MISSOULA — A man serving 15 years related to an assault over a pork chop will serve another 15-year sentence for hitting a jail officer.
The Missoulian reports Justin Dwayne King was a transient convicted of felony assault for using a metal rod to repeatedly hit a man he had accused of stealing his pork chops in October 2013. He was waiting to be transported to prison when he hit the guard.
The guard’s eye was purple and swollen shut, and there were scratches on his nose. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Missoula County District Judge John Larson on Thursday ordered the second 15-year sentence to be served after King finishes the first.
King has filed a notice of appeal related to the pork chop assault.
