MCLOUD, Okla. — According to the Daily Oklahoman, a man has died from underwear suffocation otherwise known as the “atomic wedgie.”
The newspaper article describes the situation. A man by the name of Brad Davis suffocated the man with his own underwear and struck him in the head. The 33-year-old man was put in jail on Tuesday night after he was arrested on homicide charges. Davis told investigators that he gave his stepfather, Denver Lee St. Clair, 58, an “atomic wedgie” on Dec. 21.
The state medical examiners office spokeswoman, Amy Elliott, says that the cause of death has been determined to be blunt force trauma to the head and asphyxiation. This would allow the death to be ruled as a homicide.
