SWEETWATER, Texas — A jury in the 32nd District Court found Robert Larry “Duna” Williams, 44, guilty on one charge of engaging in organized criminal activity. It took only an hour for jurors to sentence Williams to life in prison.
In October 2010, Williams and eight others were arrested at a home in the 1000 block of Runnels Street in Sweetwater in what Nolan County Sheriff David Warren called one of the most prolific crack cocaine selling operations in the city.
The home was demolished in March 2011, according to Sweetwater police.
Neighbors who lived near the residence testified during Williams’ trial. Other suspects are awaiting prosecution in connection with the case.
