$6K reward offered for escaped Calif. inmate who injured deputy

SAN JOSE — Two groups are offering a combined reward for information leading to the arrest of an accused sex offender who escaped after injuring a deputy during a hospital transport.

NBC News reports that Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers and the Deputy’s Association of Santa Clara County are offering $6,000 for information about Johnell Carter, who’s been missing for a week since his escape.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

Carter has a tattoo on the left side of his neck that says “AMY.” He also has a “Johnell Jr.” on his upper left arm and a mole on the side of his chin. He’s described as 5’11” and weighs 220 pounds. He has a shaved head.
