AUSTIN, Texas — More banned cell phones have been confiscated at Texas prisons and agency officials credit tougher enforcement.
Delivery is expected by February on $480,000 worth of electronic devices to locate cell phone signals.
The Austin American-Statesman on Monday reported prison authorities this year, through August, confiscated 995 cell phones. Records show 1,226 cell phones were seized during 2008.
