DUNCAN, Okla. — An inmate in the Stephens County Jail faces additional charges after law enforcement says they threw an adult diaper at a correctional officer.

According to On Demand Court Records, Dorothy Ann Jones, of Countyline, Oklahoma, faces a charge of “prisoner placing body fluid on a government employee” after two or more felony convictions.

Reports show the incident happened June 9 after jail staff informed law enforcement of an inmate they located contraband on while booking them into the jail. At this time law enforcement also learned the inmate threw the diaper containing urine at the detention officer, which hit them in the leg, reports show.

A detention officer who asked Jones if she had contraband such as drugs or weapons on her person told law enforcement Jones said she didn’t know and didn’t care. During processing, jail staff found cigarettes, and she was informed this could cause her to incur another charge, reports show.

This, according to the report, made Jones “very mad” and she allegedly “then took her adult diaper off that was soiled with urine and threw it at” the detention officer.

After law enforcement learned of this event, they learned the detention officer also found a broken glass pipe, five marijuana cigarette butts and a small white oval pill and a small white round pill that couldn’t be identified.

Bond for Jones is set at $50,000 for this charge. She is due back in court on this charge for a preliminary hearing conference at 9 a.m. Sept. 1, 2021.
