HANCOCK COUNTY — When a corrections officer at the Hancock County Jail suffered a heart attack, jail medical staff moved quickly.
According to The Courier, Officer Mark Price suffered a heart attack while working a morning shift at the jail. Tim Myers, a medical officer for the facility, noticed Price’s shortness of breath.
He checked Price’s blood pressure and transported him to the hospital.
“They went way beyond what they should have done,” said Amy Price, Officer Mark Price’s wife.
Price recovered at the hospital and was released Thursday. Myers he was grateful to assist a coworker in need.
“We’re kind of a family of our own up here.”
