Nominations for the 2025 National Corrections Medal of Honor are now being accepted by the One Voice United Nominations and Selection Committee. Nominations are open to all correctional officers, parole and probation officers, supervisors, administrators and non-custody staff. Submissions can be made by scanning the QR code on the Medal of Honor poster or by visiting www.onevoiceunited.org and clicking the nominations link.
Six awards will be presented: the Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal of Honor, the Supervisors Award, the Excellence in Corrections Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award. Selected honorees will be flown, with one guest, expenses paid, to the One Voice United Medal of Honor Awards Banquet and Elevating Our Profession Conference, April 29–May 1 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. There, they will be recognized by peers from across the nation at the premier annual event honoring excellence in corrections.
Corrections, probation and parole professionals are the backbone of the criminal justice system. These men and women are often the unsung heroes of the law enforcement community, rarely recognized for the sacrifices they make and the public safety they preserve. Anyone who has worked in corrections for any length of time likely knows someone who deserves this level of recognition.
Each nominee receives national recognition through One Voice United’s social media platforms and inclusion in the awards brochure distributed at the event. Even those not selected as honorees earn the distinction of being nominated by their peers for national recognition.
