"Boxing makes you make decisions fast, and I need to make decisions fast in life"

ATLANTIC CITY — Correctional officer Kyshawn Wyman considers boxing to be similar to working in law enforcement.
“Boxing makes you make decisions fast, and I need to make decisions fast in life,” he said. He said he needs fast reflexes in his job. “Boxing just keeps up everything I do in life.”
Wyman is one of 6.4 million whose interest in boxing has risen since 2006, according to Press of Atlantic City.
He says it’s a great way to stay in shape, and it’s helping him get fit for the Atlantic County Corrections Academy in September, where he hopes to get certified to carry firearms.
