An official told CNN yesterday that federal fugitive John McCluskey and his suspected accomplice Casslyn Welch are not expected to give themselves up easily given the violent nature of their crimes.
U.S. Marshall David Gonzales said that McCluskey had been linked to other murders since his escape and should be considered dangerous. Officials last tracked the couple to central Wyoming and Gonzales said all resources have been devoted to capturing the individuals as quickly as possible.
McCluskey was one three inmates to break free from a medium-security prison in Arizona on July 30 when his fiance and cousin Casslyn Welch threw a pair of wire cutters over the perimeter fence. Daniel Renwick was apprehended in Colorado on Aug. 1 and Tracy Province was arrested in northern Wyoming following a manhunt in and around Yellowstone national park yesterday.
