Idaho count jail worker accuses supervisor of bullying, harassment

Former cook

VALLEY COUNTY, Idaho — A woman who formerly worked as a cook for the Valley County Sheriff’s Office filed a claim against the county for “harassing and bullying behavior.”

Diana Elliot says she was fired after filing several complaints against her supervisor, Sgt. David Snyder, according to the Boise Weekly.

Her job was replaced by a food service contractor, and Elliot was informed by Valley County Sheriff Patti Bolen that she was free to apply for a position with the contractor.

The claim also says that county officials told the Idaho Department of Labor that Elliot had voluntarily quit her job, making her uneligible for unemployment. After appealing, the labor department reversed the earlier decision and made her eligible for job benefits.
