NEW YORK — A new video obtained by ABC affiliate WABC in New York offers a shocking view of the working conditions inside some of New York’s youth prisons.

Officers are routinely attacked by gangs of juvenile offenders inside the state’s juvenile correctional facilities known as Brookwood, Goshen, Industry, and MacCormick, WABC reports.

The video (embedded below) was obtained by an attorney representing Eileen Carpenter, a former corrections staffer who alleges she was dismissed by the state for revealing conditions inside the facilities, according to WABC.

The video, actually a compilation of different closed-circuit television clips, shows juvenile inmates repeatedly attacking officers and other corrections staff. During one attack one, which can be seen in the video below, a boy blocks the door with a chair before he and his fellow inmates jump the officers.
