NEW YORK — Sean “Diddy” Combs’ release date from federal prison, where he’s serving time for prostitution-related charges, has been delayed following last month’s fight with a fellow inmate.
The Bad Boy Records founder, 56, was arrested in September 2024 in relation to his sex marathons known as “freak-offs,” and found guilty by a New York jury last summer on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, though he avoided a much longer sentence when he was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering.
He was sentenced to 50 months and is serving time at New Jersey’s FCI Fort Dix. He is now scheduled to be released Feb. 20, 2028, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ online records.
Though Combs’ projected release date has been adjusted numerous times amid his incarceration, this appears to be the first time his release date has been delayed.
Back in March, his release date was moved from June 4, 2028 to April 25, 2028. This June, the date was moved up to Feb. 23, 2028.
TMZ reported late last month that a fellow inmate reportedly “dissed” Combs last month, which spurred a verbal spat and ultimately, a brief physical one before they were ultimately separated by security and Diddy placed in solitary confinement.
Days after word of the fight got out, Combs was set for release on Jan. 24, 2028, before TMZ noted Tuesday that the date had been pushed.
Combs’ misdeeds took center stage in late 2023, when R&B artist and ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura accused him of rape and myriad forms of abuse in a bombshell lawsuit, which the two settled the following day. Diddy is now the subject of similar allegations spanning over 100 civil lawsuits.
