TUCSON, Ariz. — A corrections officer at ASPC-Tucson’s Whetstone Unit was attacked by an inmate Saturday.
Inmate Alejandro Borjes attacked the officer in the recreation yard, DOC officials told Tucson News Now.
The CO was transported to the hospital with a head injury and was released. According to KVOA, Borjes was placed in restrictive housing following the incident.
Borjes has not yet been charged in the attack.
