FOND DU LAC, Wis. — A Milwaukee man has been sentenced to four year in prison for injuring a Fond du Lac County Jail corrections officer.

The Reporter Media reports 35-year-old Roy Whitelow was found guilty of one count of battery to a law enforcement officer as a repeat offender this week.

A judge sentenced him to one year of supervision following his release from prison.

Authorities say Whitelow became aggressive with officers at the jail in February 2013 when they tried to obtain a court-ordered DNA sample.

It’s unclear how he injured the officer.

Whitelow is also charged with crimes including first-degree reckless homicide in connection to a woman’s fatal overdose in 2013.

He faces an additional 50 years in prison if convicted.

Online court records didn’t indicate an attorney for Whitelow.
