Cell phone hidden in door

A Corrections1 member in Texas sent in these photos of a contraband cell phone hidden by inmates in what appears to be the door of the shower room.

He writes, “As I was reviewing pictures today for a Use of Force I had last night, I came across these pictures of a cell search we did this year while I was conducting In-Service. An officer of mine who is about as tall as I am ( 6’6” ) was searching high when he called me over and showed me this.”

At first glance, the cell door looks intact and unmolested.

But closer inspection revealed that the electric control box had been opened and used as a contraband hiding place.

The officer reports that the inmates hid the cell phone charger in a shower drain, wrapped in a black plastic bag.
