LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. -- Two current corrections officers and two former workers at the Luzerne County jail were arrested Thursday afternoon, charged with dealing drugs to inmates as part of Operation Broken Trust.
The Luzerne County prison warden summoned two on-duty officers into his office Thursday and agents from the attorney general’s office slapped handcuffs on the men, and took them into custody.
Agents hauled Jason Fierman, 35, of Dallas out of the prison first. His arrest ends a 13-month investigation. Prosecutors said Fierman brought cocaine and prescription drugs into the jail, and sold them to inmates.
Agents also took Christopher Walsh, 28, of Pittston into custody. Walsh, according to authorities, was also charged with selling cocaine to the inmates he was supposed to be supervising.
