SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Sacramento County Jail inmate has died in the hospital from “medical-related issues.”
The inmate, David Larone Starling, 51, of Sacramento died at 5:36 a.m. Tuesday. Starling had been in custody at the Sacramento County Jail since March 27, pursuant to a court order. He was awaiting further proceedings.
Starling’s death does not appear to be suspicious, according to a sheriff’s press release. The coroner’s website has initially classified his death as an “accident.” The sheriff’s department will conduct an investigation in accordance with department procedure and state laws.
