LOS ANGELES — A three-hour search for an escaped inmate ended when the inmate was discovered hiding in a backyard hot tub.
The NY Daily News reports that Arturo Valenzuela, 23, had walked away during a work release program.
It’s unclear if the hot tub was full of water when Valenzuela was inside it.
Valenzuela is serving time for robbery charges, and is now being charged with escape and held on $100,000 bail. He suffered an ankle injury during his escape and was treated at a local hospital.
