MUNISING, Mich. — More maggots were found in a Michigan prison this week, numbering this instance the fourth time such a discovery has been made inside a state prison.
Upmatters reports that the maggots were found during breakfast at the Alger Correctional Facility in Munisinger. All food was tossed out as a precaution and the kitchen was completely sanitized.
Michigan’s state prison system has food services provided by Aramark Correctional Services, which has been plagued with issues like maggots in food and staff becoming too friendly with inmates.
