CANON CITY — Former prison inmate Anthony Fogle, 37, is back behind bars after police allege he stole more than $8,000 worth of gold jewelry from the Cañon City Wal-Mart store.
Wal-Mart employees said they saw a male use a pair of wire cutters to cut a security wire, lift a whole case of jewelry off the jewelry department counter, and place it in his cart before concealing it under his jacket.
Employees reported the man got into a black Dodge Durango with a temporary tag and drove east on U.S. 50 toward Pueblo.
Cañon City police issued an advisory and Fremont County Sheriff’s deputies stopped the vehicle at Pathfinder Park near Florence.
