NEW ORLEANS — A Washington Parish inmate was convicted Wednesday of battery on a correctional officer stemming from an incident that occurred last year.

NOLA.com reports that TwDarryl Toney faces three and a third to 10 years in prison for throwing a “noxious substance hidden in a cup” at a correctional officer while incarcerated at the B.B. Rayburn Correctional Center.

Toney was hidden in the showers when he threw the liquid at the officer; the whole incident was captured on camera. The tape was played in court.

Toney is already serving a 30-year sentence for manslaughter conviction in New Orleans.
