Man gets 300 years for robbery spree while paroled

Jason Barton Kirkpatrick was convicted by a jury in October for 10 counts of second-degree robbery

SACRAMENTO — A parolee who committed a series of robberies in 2013 was sentenced to 250 years to life in prison, plus an additional 50 years under the California Three Strikes Law.

The SacBee reports that Jason Barton Kirkpatrick was convicted by a jury in October for 10 counts of second-degree robbery; he was sentenced on Friday.

Kirkpatrick used a replica handgun to rob primarily female employees of small businesses. At the time, he was on parole for a series of robberies committed in 2006, where he also victimized female employees of small businesses in the Sacramento area.
