JONESBORO, Ga. — A man has been shot at a local courthouse after a struggle with a deputy.
According to WSBTV, the man was in court on a child support matter when an altercation erupted after he used a tablet or cellphone. The police chief said the deputy deployed his TASER, but it didn’t stop the suspect.
The deputy fired his gun, shooting the man in the buttocks. The deputy then detained the suspect, the news station reported.
The suspect is in stable condition at a local hospital.
An investigation is underway.
