RICHMOND, Va. — Eight inmates at a Virginia prison overdosed on June 15.
One inmate died and seven others were taken to local hospitals to be treated, local news station WTVR reports.
“The offender’s death appears to be the result of a suspected overdose; a medical examiner will determine cause of death,” VDOC spokesperson Lisa Kinney said.
