SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Charles Manson, the notorious convicted killer and one of the country’s highest-profile inmates, has been found with a second cellular phone inside his cell at Corcoran State Prison, according to KCRA news.
Manson was previously discovered with a cell phone inside his cell last December, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
Manson used the phone to make calls and send text messages to people in California, New Jersey, Florida and British Columbia, Terry Thornton, a spokeswoman for the California Department of Corrections, told the Times after the first phone was discovered.
Manson has been issued a rules violation for possession of a contraband cell phone, which he has a right to appeal, according to the KCRA report. Manson lost 30 days credit for his previous rules violation.
