NEW YORK — A love triangle between three corrections officers turned deadly early Friday when one of them was fatally shot by another during a confrontation on a Queens street, police sources said.
The victim — identified by police as 46-year-old off-duty corrections cop Jeffrey Ragland — was blasted in the chest by the new boyfriend of his estranged wife, both also corrections officers, on 108th Avenue near 227th Street in Queens Village around 4:30 am, sources said.
Ragland was rushed to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
