PHOENIX, Ariz. — Emails belonging to workers within Arizona state and city departments were revealed in an information dump by hackers of cheating website Ashley Madison.
ABC News reports that the departments included the City of Phoenix, The Department of Corrections, The Department of Economic Security and Maricopa County.
Maricopa County Communications Director Fields Moseley said that it was not a direct violation of policy to use county emails for personal use.
City of Phoenix officials reported that they are currently investigating allegations of the emails showing up in the hacked Ashley Madison list and said they would not draw any conclusions until more information was gathered.
The DOC is also looking into the matter.
