WACO, Texas — A state inspection of the McLennan County Jail was prompted after 30 complaints filtered in regarding the conditions of the jail where 175 bikers are being held following a deadly gun battle.

KWTX reports that the complaints included that the bikers were being held in unsanitary conditions, without beds, and weren’t being fed properly. The inspector found no merit to any of the claims, according to Texas Commission on Jail Standards spokeswoman Diana Spiller.

The complaint form and mistreatment claims were posted to the Texas Confederation of Clubs and Independents’ Facebook page.

The post didn’t include the names of those complaining; the Jail Standards Commission said the complaints came from all over the country.

The bikers were arrested following a gun battle between rival gangs that left nine dead and 18 injured. They are all charged with engaging in organized crime with bonds set at $1 million each.
