PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Bay County Jail employees brought a little Christmas cheer to residents at the Clifford Chester Sims State Veterans Home in Panama City on Wednesday.

NBC News reports that the employees fulfilled the wishlists of the residents there, including just spending time with them.

They handed out gift bags full of lotion, socks, footies, tooth paste, desserts and patriotic hats to the 120 residents that live in the nursing home. Everyone also received a special card signed by the jail staff.

Included in the fun were the jail employee’s children and some pets, all of whom enjoyed spending time with the veterans. The visit also included entertainment in the form of ballroom dancers and a 10-year-old pianist and violinist showing off her musical talents.

“I got to do it for all the people,” said Allison Strunk, musician. “It was really fun.”
