MARION COUNTY, Ind. — An inmate is now facing charges of battery and disorderly conduct after throwing a bowl of hot Ramen noodles at a deputy and hitting him in the face.

According to WISHTV, the deputy was doing rounds and dispensing medications to inmates on Monday when inmate Monique Cooley began cursing at him.

When she continued to cause a disturbance, the deputy ordered her to pack her belongings and exit the cell block. Instead of complying, Cooley refused and started threatening the deputy. Eventually she did leave, but returned carrying a bowl of Ramen noodles in extremely hot water.

She then threw the noodles, striking the deputy in the head and face. Other officers were called to assist and they restrained Cooley.
