MUSKEGON, Mich. — Detectives in Muskegon County are investigating a fight Saturday afternoon in a holding cell between three inmates that sent two to the hospital.

Sheriff Dean Roesler says one of the men used a combination lock as a weapon. Low security risk inmates with work release privileges use the locks to secure belongings. The two injured in the fight were treated at an area hospital and returned to jail.

“One guy got some stitches to an area above an eye and the other guy some stitches to the back of the head,” Roesler said.
