MUSKEGON, MI — Heavy-duty construction made for a rough work environment Tuesday and Wednesday at the Muskegon County Courthouse.

The construction crew building the new county jail drove thick steel beams into the ground immediately next to the county’s Michael E. Kobza Hall of Justice in downtown Muskegon April 8-9.

Muskegon County Board of Commissioners Chairman Ken Mahoney said the beams were part of an “earth retention barrier.”
