OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. — Two off-duty officers, a cop and a corrections officer, helped catch a Tennessee fugitive on Wednesday.
According to the Northwest Ohio, convicted-killer Jimmy Clayton was wanted on a parole violation.
A deputy with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spotted a suspicious man carrying a duffel bag. Deputy Mary Linzie made a background search and discovered that the man was wanted for arrest in Tennessee.
While attempting to perform the arrest, Clayton tried to resist and flee the scene. A Toldeo police officer and a Michigan Department of Corrections officer were off-duty nearby and saw the commotion.
