Aaron Hernandez suicide note to fiancee: ‘You’re rich’

Hernandez asked Shayanna Jenkins to “look after (redacted) and (redacted) for me – they are my boys (you’re rich)”

BOSTON — In the last letter to his fiancee before he killed himself on April 19, Aaron Hernandez told Shayanna Jenkins she would be rich.

According to USA Today, the letter was released by Massachusetts court officials Friday.

At the end of the note, Hernandez asks Jenkins to “look after (redacted) and (redacted) for me – they are my boys (you’re rich).”

In Massachusetts, if an inmate dies before an appeal is decided, the conviction is vacated, the Associated Press reported.

Because Hernandez died an innocent man under state law, the New England Patriots can’t legally justify his firing. The organization would have to pay the beneficiary of the estate the remainder of his salary, a reported $6 million, according to TMZ.
