CAMP HILL, Pa. — A corrections officer at SCI Camp Hill is facing charges after he used a stun gun on his supervisor during a feud, according to Penn Live.

According to court documents from the Department of Corrections, Corrections Officer Michael Grigas, 31, struck his supervisor three times in the leg with the Electronic Body Immobilization Device while they were inside a control bubble at SCI Camp Hill in 2023.

The criminal complaint states that leading up to the incident, Grigas had previously denied his supervisor entry into the bubble and had labeled him “incompetent” during a previous conversation.

On Nov. 23, the supervisor entered the bubble to greet staff and get coffee. Grigas confronted the supervisor and told him he “needed to ask permission” to enter, according to the complaint. As the supervisor walked around Grigas, Grigas grabbed an Electronic Body Immobilization Device from an unlocked box and hit his supervisor’s leg, court documents state.

Camp Hill police stated in court documents that the device left a burning hole on the supervisor’s pant leg and left a bloody wound. The supervisor was taken to a hospital for treatment and later released.

The DOC said Grigas is currently suspended without pay pending the results of the investigation.

Grigas faces charges including misdemeanor counts of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, as well as a summary count of harassment, WHTM reports.
