ATLANTA — More than 20 prisons in Georgia were placed on lockdown following a fight authorities believe was gang-related, WSB-TV reports.
The lockdowns at 26 facilities began Oct. 28, a day after an altercation involving four inmates at Hays State Prison, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections.
GDOC stated there was an “altercation among four inmates” contained to two dorms. Three inmates were hospitalized with injuries. All three have since been returned to Hays State Prison.
