PABLO, Mont. — An inmate at the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Detention Center here is being hailed as a hero for stopping an alleged assault on a tribal detention officer by another prisoner Thursday.
Lake County Undersheriff Dan Yonkin said 42-year-old Eugene M. Seyler of Pablo has been charged with aggravated assault and assault on a peace officer, both felonies.
The detention officer suffered “significant injuries” in the fight, which was captured on security cameras in the jail. He was treated at a hospital and released.
