LOS ANGELES – Four were injured Wednesday afternoon when violence broke out at the Men’s Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles.

The LA Times reports that a fight between 80 Latin and black inmates broke out around noon in the dorm quarters. The jail was placed under lock down.

The disturbance lasted about 10 minutes before deputies were able to regain control of the jail.

One inmate was stabbed and three others suffered superficial wounds. All four were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
