WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — John H. Stewart Jr. had five months left on his sentence when he escaped from a West Palm Beach facility.An inmate at a low-security work-release prison center in Palm Beach
County escaped Tuesday afternoon and remains at large.
John H. Stewart Jr., 37, ran from the West Palm Beach facility after corrections employees questioned him about their suspicions he was involved in fraudulent activity, said Gretl Plessinger, a prison spokeswoman.
Stewart was five months from finishing a two-year sentence for grand theft auto, credit card fraud and driving with a suspended license.
He is five-feet, seven-inches tall, 167 pounds and has tattoos on his back and arms of skulls and the Reaper.
Those with information on Stewart’s whereabouts are asked to call police or the Florida Department of Corrections at 850-922-6867.
