These photos, pulled from CorrectionsOne’s archives of prison contraband, show that for many prisoners, contraband is often about more than weapons or escape tools. Often — possibly more than any other use — contraband is used for getting high.
This magic marker appears to contain a ceramic pipe, useful for smoking marijuana, or possibly harder drugs. As can be seen from the pictures, the pipe is hidden within the outer case of the marker.
