ALLENTOWN, Pa. — An inmate is facing several charges after allegedly attacking four corrections officers at a Pennsylvania jail.
WFMZ reports that on Jan. 11, a CO told inmate Ramiel Vega that he was being written up for a violation, which isn’t specified in the criminal complaint. The officer ordered Vega to return to his cell, but the inmate refused and reportedly threw a cup of hot water on the officer’s leg.
When a second officer tried to cuff him, Vega punched him in the head several times, knocking the officer to the ground and causing a severe injury. Two more COs attempted to apprehend Vega before he resisted and punched another officer in the face.
Vega faces several charges, including felony counts of aggravated assault.
