JUNEAU — A 31-year-old former inmate at Wisconsin Correctional Institution was sentenced to an additional seven-and-a-half years in the state prison system Wednesday after being found guilty of spitting on corrections officers.
Jesus A. Aponte, Jr., Wisconsin Resource Center, pleaded no contest to one count of prisoner throwing or expelling a bodily substance as a repeat offender. A second count was dismissed and read in to the record.
Judge Steven Bauer ordered seven-and-a-half years in the prison system, broken into five-and-a-half years of initial confinement and two years of extended supervision, consecutive to any other sentence Aponte may be serving.
