WASHINGTON — Former U.S. Senator John Edwards’ mug shot was released today following a Freedom of Information Act request, according to CNN.
Earlier this month, he pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and campaign law violation after it was revealed he spent more than $925,000 to keep his mistress and their baby hidden during his 2008 presidential campaign, according to the Huffington Post.
A jury is investigating whether the money given to support his mistress, Rielle Hunter, should have been considered campaign donations.
Edwards refused to agree to a plea deal that would involve him serving jail time, according to CNN.
