TAMPA, Florida — Remember the story about the neo-Nazi whose tattoos were ordered to be covered because the judge thought they’d influence the jury? He’s been found guilty, and the jury says he should be given life in prison.
John Allen Ditullio was convicted of stabbing his neighbor, Patricia Wells, and murdering her 17-year-old friend. The crime was motivated by racism and homophobia, according to a WTVT FOX 13 report.
The judge in his trial ordered that Ditullio’s facial tattoos be covered by a cosmetologist at a cost of up to $150 per day. His tattoos include a large swastika, barbed wire and a vulgarity on his face and neck.
The jury deliberated for less than 30 minutes before recommending life in prison for the killer, according to the FOX 13 report.
“I’m not going to beg you people for my life or my death, man. You do what you do, OK? I don’t care,” Ditullio told the jury. “Life in Florida is death in Florida.”
Ditullio’s surviving victim told FOX 13, “I’m still scared. I still think of retaliation that are in the white supremacist group.”
