PARANA, Brazil — The latest standoff at a Brazil prison has come to an end after 90 inmates freed the officers they held hostage for about 45 hours.

FOX News reports that the officers were taken hostage to demand an end to the use of handcuffs inside the prison. The inmates also demanded better medical care and legal services.

Authorities agreed to some of the demands, though it’s not clear which ones. They did agree to transfer some inmates to other prisons.
