BRITAIN — A man was caught on CCTV walking onto HMP Northumberland prison grounds and throwing a contraband care package over a fence for the inmates behind bars.
The Mirror reports that Leslie Podd can be seen lobbing narcotics, syringes, mobile phones and vodka over the prison fence, hidden inside plastic sports drink bottles.
Prisoners quickly grabbed the contraband, but staff found them in a toilet cistern and laundry box.
Podd was identified and apprehended from the CCTV footage. He pleaded guilty to nine offenses of conveying banned items into a prison.
