FRESNO, Calif. — An inmate who pleaded guilty to the murder of CO Jose Rivera has been sentenced to life in prison.
According to the Sac Bee, James Ninete Leon Guerrero pleaded guilty to a single count of murder in order to obtain a plea agreement that would keep him from the death penalty.
Guerrero aided and abetted co-defendant Jose Cabrera Sablan in the stabbing death of CO Jose Rivera on June 20, 2008.
